This year at Anderson County I will be teaching 9th grade language arts, 7th grade computer apps. and high school weights/athleteic development. In the fall, I will serve as the head 7th grade football, and during winter, the 7th grade basketball coach.
I graduated from Wellsville High in 1987 and earned my BS in Finance (1994) and secondary education certification (2010) from Emporia State University. Last summer I completed my Masters of Education, again from Emporia State. Prior to my teaching career, I established, owned, and managed a construction company for 15 years, operating primarily in Johnson County Kansas., along with coaching competitive youth teams in football, basketball, and baseball. Current certifications include 6-12 language arts, 6-12 business, K-12 physical education, 5-8 science, 5-8 mathematics, and 5-8 social studies.
My immediate family includes son Logan, a junior at Pitt State this fall, son Carter, who graduated high school last spring, and my wife, Vicki, a Financial Analyst manager with Garmin International in Olathe. Both my father and mother graduated from Garnett High School in the 1950s.
