I graduated from Anderson County High School in 2007. I continued my education at Ottawa University and received my Bachelor’s degree in 2011 in Psychology. I decided to pursue a graduate degree and was awarded a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The University of Kansas in 2013 and a Master’s in School Counseling from FHSU in 2017.
This is my 8th year in education and my third year at Anderson County. I have previously worked as a school counselor, and am eager to continue my role with the ACE Academy position this year!
My husband, Evan, is also from Garnett. After spending some time in the Navy, we feel very lucky that he has a great job as a maintenance technician at Cargill in Kansas City. We have one daughter, Addyson, who is an 8th grader at ACJSHS. Our family is rounded out by our sweet animals. We have two dogs, Severus and Albus, and one crazy cat, Meowfoy.
Our family stays pretty active with Addyson’s activities. She is involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, track and is our kid chef. We love to travel, eat great food, and enjoy most sports. In particular, we are fairly obsessed with Kansas football (crazy, I know) and spend the majority of our fall weekends in Lawrence.
