ACHS Career & Technical Education Pathways

A Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathway is an individualized plan of study that is designed to prepare a student for success whether they plan to pursue post-secondary education at a technical college, 2-year or 4-year college, enter the workforce, or enter the military. Introductory level courses create a foundation of knowledge about careers and necessary skills. Technical level courses are more focused and develop deeper academic knowledge and technical skills needed in the career field. Finally, application level courses offer real-world, hands-on experience in the career field, often through partnerships with local businesses. Students may also have the opportunity to earn industry certifications in some pathways, as well as earning college credit through articulation agreements with Kansas technical & community colleges.
