I began teaching as the Jr. High/High School Vocal Teacher February of 2019 in an emergency capacity. I have been the JR/SR High Choir Teacher ever since. I was subbing for this school district prior to this.
I teach 3 Jr. High Choirs, Chamber Singers, Mixed Chorus, and a Voice Class.
This is my first time teaching in a school. I have been teaching in a church for almost 15 years. I have been teaching primarily Jr High and High School students the last 15 years. I have mentored a group of high school girls the last 9 years. I also have helped teach our 4 years-6th grade Roots program. I was responible for leading small group discussion, mentoring students, helping lead youth worship, and teaching lessons for the whole youth group.
I am happily married to my husband Chris Goetz since January 3, 2004. We have 3 wonderful children who all attend schools here in Garnett. Hope is a freshman, MaKenna is in 7th grade, and Malakai is in 5th grade. Our son, Joel is in heaven. We have 3 pets: 2 dogs (Silas and Chloe) and 1 cat (Jael).
I love music of all kinds and lead worship at my church. I play piano, guitar, and flute. I also love sports. I played volleyball, basketball, and softball in school. I absolutely love disc golf and play with my entire family. We love to play board games and travel all over the US. My husband is from Monmouth, OR, so we spend a lot of time there visiting family. We lived in McMinnville, OR for 4 years when we were first married. BUT, me being a Kansas girl, I needed sunshine and we moved back here, closer to my family.
