I graduated from Anderson County High School in May 2006.
I graduated from Emporia State University with a bachelor’s in communication and a minor in journalism in December of 2009.
I graduated with a Master of Arts in Education in May of 2021.
My husband, Josh, and I were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scipio, Kansas, in September 2013. Josh is originally from Abilene, Kansas, and we made our first home in Paola. Since then, we have moved back to the area, and we built our dream home just down the road from where we wed and less than a mile from where I grew up. Josh is currently a lineman for Evergy at the Ottawa show-up.
We have two children: Lenny (8) and Mila (6). Lenny is third grade and Mila is in first grade at Garnett Elementary School. Both keep us very busy. Lenny enjoys soccer, wrestling, and baseball. He is also trying out tackle football for the first time this year. Mila also enjoys soccer and t-ball, but her biggest passion is dance. This will be her fourth year at Donna’s School of Dance.
As a family, we have a small herd of cows and a donkey named Senor Carrots. We recently lost our Black Lab, Olive, but we still have four cats: Pete, Normal, Rafinki, and Star.
Since becoming a teacher and taking on the yearbook, there really isn’t any time for hobbies! What I can say about myself is that I enjoy stories, whether I am reading, watching. telling, or listening to them! In the past, I also enjoyed scrapbooking and baking pies. For now, I enjoy hanging out with my family. Currently, our favorite family hobby is taking side-by-side through the countryside.
